The last days at GUS

My time at Gå Ut Senteret is now over and a new part of my life is now starting. The last day was today and it was a day filled with tears. I didn’t think that I was going to cry, but when I saw one person cry the tears just came. However, I’m going to see some of them over the summer and I’ll see all of them in September when we meet for the X-global weekend! I’m back in Hamar and next week my days are going to be filled with school work because I’m going to write my last exam before I leave for Turkey :-) IMG_0953 IMG_0954 IMG_1005 IMG_0971

For those of you who have read my blog for a while or know me you know that I love playing games. I have be so lucky that other people at GUS shared this interested with me, so there have been many nights with Settlers, Ticket to Ride & Bonanaza.

What a Day!

This has been a great day from start to finish. Since it was our last day in school the teachers decided to do something special, so what we did was pray for each and every student and the other students could pray for you as well. This was really amazing and such a nice way to conclude the school year. We also had a dinner where we had to dress up nicely and the teachers served us. Good company, entertainment and food :-) There was the gentlemen and the ladies speech, singing, performing, games and magic tricks.

DSC08595 DSC08608Our tradition, I don’t know how many pictures we have like this, but they’re always fun to take.

DSC08643And what could be more perfect than to end the day with a round of “Ticket to Ride” and a swim in the cold lake? Saturday is the last day here and there are still things to do. Tomorrow there’s washing and packing day. Luckily I’ve packed most of my things so not much to do there. However, it’s forecasted that there’ll be sun tomorrow so some of us were thinking about playing beach volleyball – fun fun!

2012 Highlights

Another year is soon over and what a year it has been. I’ve been so fortunate to have travelled to many places, seen all my friends, moved to a new country and much more. Here are some of my highlights from this year.

My Last Soccer ACAMIS

We went to China and played at the end of April. We came second place, after extra time and penalties. We had a great time, and although we didn’t come home with first place I still had a great time there.

Graduation

Ahhh, this was such a wonderful day. My grandparents and my uncle also came to Mongolia and were at my graduation. It was great to have them there.

My two trips to Uzbekistan

My mom and I went to Uzbekistan in May and we had such a nice trip. Being just us girls we had a lot of fun and got to spend some quality time together. I also went to Uzbekistan during my fall break. I had a great time and I got to see my family again.

Bible group with Terese, Ingrid & Kristian

I’ve had a lot of fun this year with these three people. Terese is always teaching us something new and coming up with new things to do. The last Bible group we went to Terelsj and had such a nice evening together where we made a bon-fire and played a lot of different games.

Summer in Norway

I had a great summer in Norway. Visiting family, seeing friends again and eating Norwegian food. I also spent most of the summer working, which was great.

England with Sarah

Sarah and I have taken a couple of trips together the last couple of years and this year we went to England and we visited London and Bath. Sarah also came back to Norway with me where we did a lot of shopping :)

Moving to Bolivia

I started at GUS this fall and I’ve met a lot of wonderful people there. I also got to move to a new country and experience what Bolivia has to offer.
