Something to do on a rainy day

After getting some sleep I decided to unpack some of my things and I’ve come quite far. It’s nice to get everything in order and it’s so much easier to find things when they’re in a closet instead of in a suitcase. When I was out running it started pouring down and according to the weather forecast it’s going to be thunder and lightning later in the day as well. So I thought I would share this little recipe that Hilde taught me. It’s quite simple to make and it’s delicious. collage

1. Blow up water balloons to the size that you want them, we made ours kind of small 2. Melt chocolate in a water bath and dip the water balloons in. Cover approx. 3/4 of the balloon. 3. Put them on a dish and 4 put them in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

While the chocolate eggs are in the fridge you can make chocolate mousse. 5. Now you are going to pop the balloons and it’s very important that you remove all of the balloons so no one ends up eating it :-) and then afterwards you put the mousse in. 6. You can eat it as it is or add berries, chocolate, Oreo or any other things that you want on the top!

New Friends

Yesterday we invited some friends from church over. Ingvild made scones and I made cinnamon buns. We also had some norwegian chocolate which they loved. The chocolate here in Bolivia is good, but the Norwegian chocolate is the best. Tonight we’re having a ligretto evening and it’s been far too long since I’ve played it.

There was a lot of laughter yesterday. Our Spanish is still kind of limited and they don’t speak English, but we were still able to communicate. Kjerstin was also a great help :)

Hilde and I went shopping earlier in the day and we bought this huge watermelon. It was delicious :)

The Young Victoria

Just finished watching “The Young Victoria” with Ingvild. Enjoyed the movie with hot chocolate and more chocolate. It’s a great movie, especially if you are interested in English aristocracy.
During the movie I finished crocheting another potholder. I’ve made a couple so far and I’m thinking about giving some as Christmas gifts.

Hiking to Mistberget

Today we were 11 people who hiked to Mistberget. Here at GUS you can choose between sports, leadership or children and health as a subject which you will learn more about and you’ll go in depth in that subject. I chose sports and today we hiked to Mistberget. We were 11 people and it was a nice trip. It took about an hour to walk up and the view was great.

On the way up.

When we came to the top we could climb up in a tower to get a better view.

Enjoying the view form the top :P

The hikers : )

Linda had prepared a “Goodie Bag” for us, which we enjoyed on the top. Inside we found chocolate: Melkerull og smil!
